Security settings on the Senstar Symphony Server allow you to configure authentication for users, set and change permissions for users and groups quickly, and add watermarks to video.

Senstar Symphony Server
The Senstar Symphony Server includes functionality to manage devices, security, rules, sites, and settings.
- Log in to the Senstar Symphony Server
  You can open the Senstar Symphony Server configuration interface in a browser.
- Senstar Symphony Server services
  The Senstar Symphony Server runs the following services.
- Devices
  The Senstar Symphony Server supports cameras, digital input/output devices, and access control devices.
- Security
  Security settings on the Senstar Symphony Server allow you to configure authentication for users, set and change permissions for users and groups quickly, and add watermarks to video.
  - Users
    Users are individuals with permission to access and use the Senstar Symphony Server, Senstar Symphony Client, and the Senstar Symphony Web Client.
  - Groups
    Groups are collections of users with similar permissions for the Senstar Symphony Server and Senstar Symphony Client.
  - Security profiles
    A security profile is a collection of permissions that you can apply across all users and groups. Security profiles make it easy to switch the permissions for users and groups in the Senstar Symphony Server.
  - Logins
    The Logins page displays sessions for both the Senstar Symphony Server and the Senstar Symphony Client.
    - Stop an active session
      You can stop the active sessions for users that are logged into the Senstar Symphony Client.
    - View historical sessions
  - Active Directory integration
    The Active Directory authentication security mode uses Active Directory to authenticate users.
  - Security authentication
    The Senstar Symphony security authentication mode authenticates usernames and passwords that you create for users in the Senstar Symphony Server configuration interface.
  - Watermarking
    The Senstar Symphony uses watermarking to detect tampered video and audio. Watermarking works in the Senstar Symphony Client, Senstar Symphony Player, and Senstar Symphony Web Client.
- Rules
  The Senstar Symphony Server can generate alarms from rules. Rules include events, action sets, and schedules.
- Licenses
  License settings for the Senstar Symphony Server allow you to view and refresh licenses.
- Settings
  The settings for the Senstar Symphony Server allow you to configure servers, general settings, email notifications, health monitoring, Senstar Enterprise Manager integration, updates, and backup and restore.
- Analytics
  Senstar Symphony video analytics provide real-time alerts, smart video search, and reporting.
Senstar Symphony Client
The Senstar Symphony Client includes functionality to monitor cameras, manage video, generate reports, and configure alarms.
Senstar Symphony Web Client
The Senstar Symphony Web Client includes functionality to monitor cameras, manage video, generate reports, and configure alarms.
Senstar Symphony Player
The Senstar Symphony Player is an application that can view video files created in the Senstar Symphony Client.

Logins

The Logins page displays sessions for both the Senstar Symphony Server and the Senstar Symphony Client.

The Active Sessions section displays information about users who are currently logged in to the Senstar Symphony Server configuration interface and the Senstar Symphony Client interface.

The Historical Sessions section displays information about users who previously logged in to the Senstar Symphony Server configuration interface and the Senstar Symphony Client interface.

The Banned Devices and Groups section displays the devices and device groups for which you have suspended video. If you do not suspend access to video in the Senstar Symphony Client interface, this section will be empty.
