Manage services

You can configure how the Senstar Symphony Server manages the Senstar Symphony services.

Managing services allows you to make bulk changes to Senstar Symphony services. You can start and stop multiple Senstar Symphony services at one time, set the Senstar Symphony services to start automatically, and change the user account that the Senstar Symphony Server uses to run the Senstar Symphony Server.

  1. In the Senstar Symphony Server configuration interface, click Settings > Servers.
  2. Select a server and click Edit.
  3. In the Services section, perform the following tasks:
    1. To change the state of a Senstar Symphony service, select the service and click Toggle Selected.
      Performing this task stops a running service or starts a stopped service.
    2. To refresh the service list, click the Refresh button.
    3. To automatically start the Senstar Symphony services when the computer that hosts the Senstar Symphony Server starts, select Automatically start Symphony services on system startup.
    4. To set the user account that runs the Senstar Symphony services, either select Log on as Local System account to use the local system account or select This account and type the account credentials to use another account.
      The local system account is the default account that the Senstar Symphony Server uses to run Senstar Symphony services, but you change the account to access data in a shared network location.
  4. Click Save.
