Senstar Symphony Server
The Senstar Symphony Server includes functionality to manage devices, security, rules, sites, and settings.
Settings
The settings for the Senstar Symphony Server allow you to configure servers, general settings, email notifications, health monitoring, Senstar Enterprise Manager integration, updates, and backup and restore.
General
The General Settings tab in the Senstar Symphony Server configuration interface is the interface for configuring settings that apply to all of the Senstar Symphony Server instances in the server farm.
Configure video storage for a server farm
You can set a global storage setting for a Senstar Symphony Server farm.

- Log in to the Senstar Symphony Server
  You can open the Senstar Symphony Server configuration interface in a browser.
- Senstar Symphony Server services
  The Senstar Symphony Server runs the following services.
- Devices
  The Senstar Symphony Server supports cameras, digital input/output devices, and access control devices.
- Security
  Security settings on the Senstar Symphony Server allow you to configure authentication for users, set and change permissions for users and groups quickly, and add watermarks to video.
- Rules
  The Senstar Symphony Server can generate alarms from rules. Rules include events, action sets, and schedules.
- Licenses
  License settings for the Senstar Symphony Server allow you to view and refresh licenses.

  The settings for the Senstar Symphony Server allow you to configure servers, general settings, email notifications, health monitoring, Senstar Enterprise Manager integration, updates, and backup and restore.

Configure video storage for a server farm

You can set a global storage setting for a Senstar Symphony Server farm.

The global setting takes effect when you do not configure video storage settings for individual Senstar Symphony Server instances.

In the Senstar Symphony Server configuration interface, click Settings > General Settings.
In the Storage section, select Limit the number of days video is stored.
Set the maximum number of days to save video.
To keep video metadata after the video is deleted, select Keep metadata longer.
Set the maximum number of days to save video metadata.
To include all data when considering the size of the log storage, select Include all data.
To set the maximum size for log storage, set the limit in the Maximum log storage in MB field.
Click Save.
