You can manually download a previously uploaded/created backup file (.zip) and use it manually to restore the configuration on a Symphony client PC that is not necessarily the same machine on which the backup policy has been configured (or a manual backup was requested). This is potentially useful for:
• Situations where you do not have internet access
• Data mining
• Centralized configuration for an enterprise-level of support
To restore configuration from a .zip file:
1. From the Server menu, select Restore. The Restore Configuration dialog box opens.
2. Select the Restore from file option.
3. Click Browse to locate the .zip file. Select and Open file with the correct date.
4. The file path and name will appear in the field next to the Browse button. Click OK to begin the restore process.
5. Symphony asks you to confirm whether to proceed with the restore process, displaying the full name of the .zip file containing the server configuration.
6. If this is the correct .zip file, click Yes. Symphony starts the restore process. Click OK once it has successfully completed. The Restore Configuration dialog box closes.
