Recover the Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance
Requirements - Computer running the Windows operating system
- USB drive (16GB to 32GB)
- You can use a USB drive larger than 32GB, but you must edit the MakeFactoryRecoveryUSB.com command in a text editor and replace fs=fat32 with fs=exFAT.
Create a factory restore USB drive - Download the Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance image from link.
- Extract the zip file.
- Insert the USB drive into the computer.
- Open a command prompt as an administrator and navigate to the location of the extracted zip file.
- Run MakeFactoryRecoveryUSB.com usb_drive
Where usb_drive is the drive of the attached USB drive. This script can take a long time to finish as it is writing a large amount of data to the USB drive. - Eject the USB drive.
Load the image on the Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance - Insert the USB drive into the Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance.
- Turn on the Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance.
The Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance runs the setup tool and automatically prepares and images the system drives. The Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance shuts down when the setup tool finishes. - Connect the Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance to the Internet.
The Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance requires a connection to the Internet to complete the licensing process. - Turn the Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance on.
The Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance will finish the setup. This can take several minutes. - The Senstar Symphony setup wizard starts and completes the setup of the Senstar Symphony software.
When the Senstar Symphony setup wizard is finished, the Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance is ready to use.
Verify that the Senstar Symphony software is set up correctly - On the Senstar E5000 Physical Security Appliance, click Start > Senstar Symphony > Symphony Client.
- Open Server Configuration.
- Log in to the Senstar Symphony Server configuration interface.
- Click Licenses.
- Verify that the number of Per Camera Licenses is correct.
