Integrate a Gallagher access control device

You can integrate a Gallagher access control device with Symphony to use events from the access control device to trigger alarms. To integrate a Gallagher access control device, you require a Gallagher permit from the Senstar Xnet.

Integration (new method)

To add a Gallagher access control device as an integration, complete the following workflow:

  1. Configure the Gallagher access control device. For more information, visit the Gallagher support page.
  2. In the Symphony server configuration interface, add the Gallagher access control device as an integration. For more information, visit Add an integration.

Access control device (old method)

To add a Gallagher access control device as an access control device, complete the following workflow:
  1. Configure the Gallagher access control device. For more information, visit the Gallagher support page.
    1. Create a read-only Gallagher database server.
  2. On the computer that hosts the Symphony Server, complete the following tasks to create the GallagherListener service:
  3. Install the OPC Core Components 3.00 Redistributable (x86) from the OPC Foundation.
  4. Install the Gallagher OPC Bridge Configuration Version 7.0.0.3 from Gallagher.
  5. Allow local access and remote access for the Anonymous Logon.
  6. Open a command prompt as an administrator.
  7. Type:
sc create "AI GallagherListener" binPath = "c:\program files (86)\Senstar\Symphony\_bin\GallagherListener.exe" //
  8. Restart the Symphony Server services.
  9. In the Symphony server configuration interface, add the Gallagher access control device as an access device. For more information, visit Add an access control device.
Note: Gallagher access control devices added to Senstar Symphony Server using the old method continue to work, but you cannot add additional Gallagher access control devices using the old method.
