Registering a custom SSL certificate for Symphony Server

To register a custom SSL certificate, perform the following tasks on all of the Symphony Servers in the farm.

  1. Determine the thumbprint of your custom SSL certificate. For more information, see https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms734695(v=vs.110).aspx.
  2. Run the Command Prompt as an administrator.
  3. To remove the current SSL certificate, type
    netsh http delete sslcert ipport=0.0.0.0:443

    and press Enter.
  4. To register the custom SSL certificate, type
    netsh http add sslcert ipport=0.0.0.0:443 certhash=THUMBPRINT appid={d914ea80-6f50-4181-b403-7ac4f6cbecf5}

    where THUMBPRINT is the thumbprint of your custom SSL certificate (without spaces), and press Enter.

If you have changed the default port for the Symphony Server, run the netsh commands with the new port number rather than 443.
