How to restore one server’s configuration to another server

Scenario

You are migrating to new hardware, or the original server died and you want to restore to a different server.

Process

1. Create a backup config of the original server.
2. Start Symphony Client.
3. From the Server menu, select Manual Configuration Editor. The Server Configuration dialog box appears.
4. At the top, click the Add a new setting...area. The Type, ID, Section, Key, and Value fields appear.
5. Enter the following:

Type=Global
Section=Restore
Key=IgnoreMAC
Value=True

6. Click Apply.
7. Click Close.
8. Restart Symphony Client.
9. Restore the config backup to the new server.
10. Run Setup Wizard to correct the license.
