Android “Unknown connection error” when trying to connect to a server
Issue
Android app fails to connect to a server with a “Unknown connection” error.
Solution
Increase the App’s connection timeout value to a greater value (for example, 30 seconds):
- Go to Settings>Connection Timeout.
- Select 30 seconds.
Background
Connection Timeout - The amount of time in seconds for the server to respond.
