Symphony Codec required for blackout masks to work with network cameras
Analog sources always use the Symphony Codec; you could never disable/enable it for them. But the Symphony Codec is also required for blackout masks to work with network cameras. You enable the Symphony Codec for a network camera in the Manual Configuration Editor. - In Symphony Client, from the Server menu, select Manual Configuration Editor.
- Click Add a new setting... The fields under the column headings are activated.
- Enter the following information:
Type: Camera ID: (the camera's ID) Section: Camera Key: Recompress Value: 1 (whereby the default is 0, but set to 1 for the blackout masks to work)
- Click OK.
