How to use data files if you have lost configuration
Solution To play media files again in Symphony Player: - Use the command line utility that converts .dat footage files to .aira files. Ask Senstar for this utility.
To play media files again in Windows Media Player:
- Use the command line utility Aira2mpeg located in the _bin folder that converts .aira files into .mpeg files.
To play media files in Symphony Client:
Data is stored using filenames that contain the camera id. - Backup data in the old system.
- Install Symphony in a new system.
- Add as many cameras as you had in the old system (to cover all the current camera IDs in the backup). These do not have to be the same cameras as you had in the old system.
- Copy the old data backup into the data folder of the new system.
