Installation cannot be uninstalled or re-installed
Issue The installation fails and does not allow reinstallation of the product and displays the error "This product is already installed." Probable Causes 1. The software is already installed, but under a different user account in Windows. 2. Windows may have crashed during setup and part of the software is installed. Solution - Locate the user account that installed the software.
- Uninstall the previous installation.
- Run the setup again.
OR - The utility from Microsoft called the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility can help remove registry settings that Windows uses to check if a program is installed, thus allowing you to run the installation again.
